Chefs in the Classroom – Edible Education partnered with Breakfast Club of Canada in a series of videos for Nutrition Month in March. The videos were to see what kids know about food and to illustrate the importance of educating children to grow, cook and eat local foods.
We developed a customized one lesson plan which was taught in two schools that Breakfast Club of Canada supports: Quigley Elementary and Sensisyusten House of Learning. Our team was welcomed enthusiastically in both schools and it was a very positive experience for everyone.
The video also captures our teams in action at Helen Gorman Elementary and Sensisyusten House of Learning.
To wrap up #NutritionMonth we share with you our third and final edition of #EdibleEducation in partnership with @ChefsInTheClassroom. It is important to not only provide children with the nutritious food they need, but to educate them on how healthy lifestyle choices can be fun and easy, and will impact them for the rest of their day, and their lives!
Our second #EdibleEducation episode for NutritionMonth with Breakfast Club of Canada and ChefsintheClassroom asks the question, what do children really know about common nutritional terms? If you aren’t teaching your children about nutrition, then who is?
For NutritionMonth, Breakfast Club of Canada and Chefs in the Classroom have partnered to produce #EdibleEducation segments to find out what children really know (or don’t know) about the food they eat! If you are not teaching your children about nutrition, then who is?
